Moving Beyond Project Funding
Directors from Creative Health were invited to run a workshop at a recent conference in Birmingham. ‘Moving Beyond Project Funding’ aimed to raise awareness of the opportunities, benefits and understanding of strategic commissioning, and what the cultural sector has to offer to health, adult care and children’s services. Over 120 people attended, mainly senior officers and heads of services within culture, health, adult care and children’s services.
The workshop run by Creative Health focussed on the joint arts and health commissioning work which has taken place over the past five years in the Black Country. The workshop gave participants an opportunity to talk about their own experiences and discuss some of the challenges to commisisoning which had been raised in the morning presentations.
